What we collect, and what we do with it.

Who we are

Hitman Detailing provides mobile automotive detailing in Jacksonville, Ponte Vedra and the surrounding beaches in Florida. We operate as a mobile service and do not have a walk-in location. You can reach us at shine@hitmandetailing.com or (904) 515-2123. This policy covers hitmandetailing.com and the way we handle enquiries that come through it.

What you give us

Both forms on this site ask for the same kind of thing, and nothing beyond what we need to quote a job and turn up at the right car:

• Your name, mobile number and, if you choose to give it, your email address
• The vehicle, and the zip code where it is kept
• Which service you are asking about, and roughly when you want it
• Anything you type into the notes field
• On the complimentary first detail page: which appointment window you picked, how you want the key handoff to work, and your answers to the two consent checkboxes

Nothing on this site asks for payment card details, a date of birth, a government identifier or an account password, because none of those are needed to detail a car. There are no accounts and no logins.

What is collected automatically

When you submit a form, our server records your IP address, the approximate city and country your connection resolves to, your browser's user agent string, the page you submitted from and the page that referred you. That exists to tell a real enquiry apart from automated abuse, and to limit how many submissions one source can make in an hour.

Separately, the site uses two analytics tools:

• Google Analytics 4. Sets cookies (named _ga and _ga_NZL3KE3382) to tell repeat visits from new ones, and reports on pages viewed, roughly where visitors are, and which links get clicked. We send Google no names, numbers, email addresses or vehicle details. When you submit a form or tap a phone number, the event Google records contains only the type of form and the service picked from the dropdown.
• Cloudflare Web Analytics. Page and performance measurement that sets no cookies and does not track visitors between sites.

The site loads no advertising pixels and no social media trackers.

Why we use it

• To reply to your enquiry, quote the work and arrange a visit
• To contact you about a booking you have made, including reaching you on the day
• To keep a record of the vehicle and its condition across visits, which is how a recurring program works at all
• To keep the site working, and to see which pages actually help people
• To stop automated abuse of the enquiry form

Contacting you, including by text

If you give us a mobile number, we use it to reply about the request you made: confirming a quote, agreeing a time, telling you we are on the way. The complimentary first detail form asks you to tick a box agreeing to this explicitly, and that box says what it means: scheduling only, not marketing.

We do not run a text marketing list, and we do not pass your number to anyone who does. If you would rather we did not text you at all, reply STOP to any message or say so and we will note it. Standard message and data rates from your carrier may apply.

Photographs

We photograph vehicles we work on, and we may use those images to show our work. Where an image is used publicly, license plates are covered, and we do not publish house numbers, street signs, your name or your address.

The complimentary first detail is explicitly an exchange of a detail for the right to photograph the car. That is stated on the page, requires a ticked box before the form will submit, and is confirmed by a short written release signed at the appointment. If there is something you want kept out of frame, tell us and it stays out.

Who else sees it

We do not sell personal information, we do not rent it, and we do not share it for anyone else's advertising. It reaches three categories of people:

• Us. The people who quote and perform the work.
• Service providers who run parts of this system on our behalf. Cloudflare hosts the site and stores enquiries. Resend delivers the notification email. Google provides the analytics described above. Each is bound by its own terms and handles the data only to provide that service.
• Anyone the law requires. If we are legally compelled to produce information, or need to in order to establish or defend a legal claim, we will.

How long we keep it

Enquiries are kept while we are dealing with them and afterwards as a record of the work and the vehicle, because knowing the history of a car is part of the service. Automated abuse-prevention records expire within an hour. Analytics data is retained on Google's schedule for that product. If you want your details removed sooner, ask and we will remove them, except where we have to keep something for tax or legal reasons.

Your choices

• Ask us what we hold about you, and we will tell you
• Ask us to correct anything that is wrong
• Ask us to delete your details, subject to the paragraph above
• Tell us to stop contacting you, by any method or by all of them
• Block or clear cookies in your browser, or install Google's own Analytics opt-out add-on

Email shine@hitmandetailing.com for any of these. We do not require you to prove a legal right before we will honor a reasonable request, but we may need to confirm you are who you say you are before handing over information about someone's vehicle.

Security

The site is served over HTTPS, enquiries are stored with an established infrastructure provider, and access is limited to the people who need it. No system is perfectly secure and we will not pretend otherwise. Please do not send card numbers or other sensitive information through the enquiry form: there is no reason to, and it is not built for it.

Children

This site is aimed at people arranging work on their own vehicle and is not directed at children. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 13. If you believe a child has sent us information, tell us and we will delete it.

Changes

If we change how any of this works, we will update this page and change the date at the top. Material changes to how we use information you have already given us will be explained here rather than made quietly.
